Connect asks that you verify your email address when you sign-up via an email verification code. While the verification code will typically arrive without issue pretty quickly after you request it, there may be instances where this isn't the case. Occasionally, these verification code emails are blocked by either your email server, firewall, email provider, or email client.

Below are some steps to help:

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder:

    • Your ISP or corporate domain may be configured to deliver commercial mail to your Spam or Junk folder by default.

  • Check for email address typos:

    • Check the spelling of the email address you provided Connect. If there was a typo, request another verification email to be sent to the correct address.

  • Check your filters:

    • In your email settings, please ensure that gigs.com is not blocked or filtered out.

  • Check if emails are being rerouted:

    • If you have email forwarding on, be sure to check the email address that the emails should be forwarded to.

    • There are times where email forwarding can interfere with verification codes being successfully received, and it may be necessary to turn this off while receiving the verification code.

  • Confirm that your email is able to accept new emails:

    • Contact your email provider to ask if there's anything that's preventing your email address from receiving new emails, such as storage limitations, filters, firewalls, or other settings.

  • Try later:

    • If you're still not receiving your code, it may be an instance of email or server congestion. Try again in a little bit.
