Finding Your IMEI
To determine if your device supports eSIM plans, you'll first need to locate your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. Review this đź”— find your device IMEI for more detail.
Preparing Your Device
💡 Depending on your device’s capabilities, if you have more than one SIM card installed, you may need to temporarily disable or remove one of the SIM cards before attempting to download the eSIM.
Instructions for Different Devices
Android Device
Open the Settings app on your device.
If you see a search bar in Settings, type in “IMEI.” The option “IMEI” (or similar wording) should appear. Alternatively, you can navigate to About phone > Device Details.
Tap on “IMEI.”
Enter your IMEI on the Scan code on the packaging screen in the Gigs Connect app.
Select Continue to check if your device is compatible.
iOS Device
Go to Settings > General > About.
For iOS 15 and newer, scroll to the bottom of the About page to find your IMEI. For older iOS versions, look for the “Available SIM” section or “Digital SIM.”
In the Gigs Connect app, enter your IMEI or scan the IMEI code from your device's packaging.
Select Continue to determine if your device is compatible.
Samsung Device
Open the Settings app.
If you see a search bar, type “IMEI.” The option “IMEI information” (or similar wording) should appear. You can also go to About phone > Status.
Tap on “IMEI information.”
Enter your IMEI on the Scan code on the packaging screen in the Gigs Connect app.
Select Continue to check if your device is compatible.
