Reactivating a subscription
If a customer has recently canceled their subscription and is considering reactivating, they can easily restore their account and retain their original phone number if the reactivation occurs within 60 days of cancellation. This guide outlines the necessary steps to ensure a seamless reactivation process for the customer.
Important Timeframe
❗️Customers can retain their original phone number by reactivating their subscription within 60 days of cancellation. If the 60-day window has passed, reactivation is no longer possible, and a new subscription—along with a new SIM card and phone number—will be required.
Steps to Reactivate Your Subscription
For customers using the Connect flow
Have customers follow these steps to reactivate your Gigs subscription within the 60-day window:
Log into your Gigs Connect account using the same email address associated with your original subscription.
Click on ‘Add a Plan.’ Under the header ‘Your SIMs,’ you will find a list of your existing SIM cards.
Select your existing SIM and follow the prompts to create a new subscription.
When prompted to choose a phone number, select “Get New Phone Number”.
For customers using an API integration
Instruct the end user to complete the activation process within your application.
Final Steps
After completing these steps, the system will automatically reassign the customer’s original phone number from their previous subscription. The process is seamless and requires no additional action.
