My roaming isn't working
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Use this when you're abroad, your plan includes roaming, but you have no signal or can't use data, calls, or texts.
Before you start
- Confirm your plan includes roaming in the country you're in — see ****Does my plan include roaming?
- Confirm roaming is enabled on your device — see ****How do I turn roaming on or off?
Step 1 — Restart your device
A full restart forces your device to re-register on a local network. Wait a minute after restarting.
Step 2 — Toggle roaming off and back on
Step 3 — Select a network manually
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Mobile Data Options → Network Selection → turn off Automatic → choose a network
Android: Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → Network operators → Search manually
- If one network doesn't work, try another. Switch back to Automatic once connected.
Step 4 — Toggle airplane mode
Enable for 30 seconds, then disable.
Still not working?
Raise it through the app. Include: the country you are in, your device make and model, and the steps already tried.
