Welcome to our guide on replacing and converting SIM cards! We've got you covered whether you're looking to switch from a physical SIM (pSIM) to an embedded SIM (eSIM) or vice versa. This article will walk you through the process, the available options, and important considerations to remember.
How to Replace or Convert Your SIM
Overview
At Gigs, we empower our customers to manage their SIM cards effortlessly through our Connect platform or Dashboard. You can now replace or convert your SIM card in any direction—from eSIM to pSIM or pSIM to eSIM. The new SIM replacement feature is designed to make your experience as smooth as possible.
Scope of Functionality
Our SIM replacement service allows you to:
Move a subscription from one SIM to another.
Support all conversions, including:
pSIM to pSIM
pSIM to eSIM
eSIM to pSIM
eSIM to eSIM
Restrictions
Before you proceed, please note the following restrictions:
❗️SIMs can only be replaced with SIMs from the same provider.
❗️Only SIM types enabled for the user’s current plan can be selected.
How It Works
Provider via the Gigs Dashboard
Members can replace a SIM by following these steps:
Navigate to the subscription and select the “Replace SIM” action menu item.
A request for the 🔗 User Consent will be sent (if applicable).
The SIM replacement will be active shortly after submission (or after approval if consent was requested). Remember to replace your SIM card with the new one!
If you're replacing with an eSIM, the member issuing the replacement is responsible for sharing the installation QR code with the user. Gigs will not send an email with this information.
If you don't see the option to replace the SIM in the Gigs Dashboard, please contact support to see if this functionality can be added.
❗️Potential Issue

Subscriber / End-user via Connect
Users can also replace their SIM if they can access a replacement SIM (for pSIM replacements). Here’s how:
Open Connect.
Navigate to the subscription and click on "Subscription Details."
Select the SIM you wish to replace.
Press the “Replace your SIM” button in the top right corner.
Select the desired SIM type (if applicable) and confirm your choice to perform the replacement. You will then be prompted to install your new SIM.
If the selection is for an eSIM replacement, we will automatically send you a QR code to install your new eSIM.
If you don't see the option to replace your SIM within Connect, please contact your provider for assistance. This is not managed by Gigs but by the provider associated with your subscription.
