How do I set up a Voucher?
Updated over a week ago

When it comes to setting up a Voucher, please ask the Gigs Support team or your Account Manager. We have 3 options available for setting up Vouchers, which are explained further down.

To get started, we'll need some information from you:

  • Which of the 3 options below would you prefer?

    • Option 1: Specific voucher codes to be entered by the user

    • Option 2: Discounts are auto-implemented to all subscriptions in a project

    • Option 3: Discounts are auto-implemented when a user follows a specific URL

  • Discount code: The code that will be used to activate the discount. (example: TEST10)

  • Discount type: Whether it is a percentage or fixed amount off.

  • Duration: The duration for which the discount will be valid for the specific user.

  • Expiration date: The date until the discount code is active within the project.

  • Number of redemptions: The number of people that can redeem the discount.

    • We have the option to restrict voucher usage to new users' first time purchases - please specify if you want this enabled.

Once we have this information, we can create the vouchers and give you all the details you need to integrate them into your project. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Option 1 | Specific voucher codes to be entered by the user

We would create a discount code that users can enter at checkout to get a discount for a certain period of time, percent, or a fixed amount. They would enter in this code during their checkout process via Connect. For example:

Option 2 | Discounts are auto-implemented to all subscriptions in a project

Discounts can also be auto-implemented on the backend to all newly activated subscriptions. With this option, the user would have the discount code auto-populate into the “enter code” field.

Option 3 | Discounts are auto-implemented when a user follows a specific URL

Similar to option 2, a discount code can be set up in the backend. Rather than having the discount applied to all newly activated subscriptions, a share link would need to be sent to select users that would redirect them to the existing Connect flow with the voucher code auto-populated.
