My data is slow or I've been throttled

The most likely cause depends on whether you have recently hit your plan's data limit.

Have you used all your high-speed data?

Most plans include a set amount of high-speed data per cycle. Once you reach that limit, your speed is reduced — this is called throttling. Check your data usage in the app under My Plan or Data.

Throttling is not the same as your service being cut off. Calls and texts are unaffected. Your speed resets at the start of your next billing cycle.

What does unlimited actually mean?

Some unlimited plans still include a high-speed data cap. After that cap is reached, speeds drop for the rest of the cycle. Check your plan details for the specific high-speed allowance.
