How do I port my number out? — United Kingdom
Last updated: April 3, 2026
This article covers port-out in the United Kingdom. For the general process, see How do I port my number out?
In the UK, porting your number out uses a PAC code — your new carrier needs this, not your account number.
How to get your PAC
You can request a PAC from us at any time:
- Text PAC to 65075 (free — you'll receive it within 60 seconds)
- From within the app under your account or plan settings → Port out or Transfer my number
- By contacting support directly
PAC codes are valid for 30 days. If it expires before you use it, request a new one.
How to complete the port-out
- Sign up with your new carrier and select the option to keep your existing number
- Provide your PAC code when asked — your new carrier submits the port request on your behalf
- Keep your current SIM active until the port completes
- Most UK PAC-based port-outs complete within 1 working day
Do not cancel your plan before the port completes. Your plan is cancelled automatically once the port-out succeeds. Cancelling first may make your number unrecoverable.
STAC code — if you're not keeping the number
If you want to leave but do not want to keep your number, you can request a STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code) instead. STAC codes work the same way — text STAC to 75075 or request from the app.
What if I just want to cancel without porting?
Simply cancel from within the app. See How do I cancel my plan?
