My port-out credentials expired
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Port-out credentials (your account number and authorisation code) can expire if not used within a certain time window. Here's how to get new ones.
Why credentials expire
Most carriers issue authorisation codes with a limited validity period, usually 24–72 hours. If you requested credentials but didn't complete the port-out with your new carrier in time, you'll need to generate new ones.
Get new credentials
- Open the app and go to Account or Settings
- Look for a Port out, Leave, or Transfer number option
- Request a new authorisation code — a fresh one will be issued
Complete the port-out before they expire
Once you have new credentials:
1. Provide them to your new carrier immediately
2. Do not cancel your current plan until the port is confirmed complete
3. The port typically completes within one business day once the new carrier submits the request
Do not cancel your plan before the port completes. If you cancel first, your number will be released and cannot be ported.
