How do I port my number in?
Last updated: May 8, 2026
You can bring your existing phone number to your new plan during sign-up or from within your account after activation.
What you need before starting
- Your current phone number
- Your account number with your current carrier — find it on a bill or in your carrier's app
- Your port authorisation code (PAC or transfer PIN) — your current carrier must provide this on request
- Your current SIM must still be active
Do not cancel your current plan before the port is confirmed. Cancelling early can make the number unavailable to transfer.
How to request a port-in
- Open the app → your subscription or plan details → select Port in my number or Keep my existing number
- Enter your current phone number, account number, and authorisation code
- Keep your old SIM in a device and stay available — the port typically completes within a few hours to one business day
- You will receive a notification when the port completes
What happens to my temporary number?
In the US — your ported number will become active on your plan once the port completes.
In the UK — if your plan was activated with a temporary number, that number is replaced by your ported number once the port completes.
Your billing cycle after a port-in
Your first payment is processed when you sign up. Your renewal date is set when the port completes and your subscription becomes active — not when you first signed up.
