My hotspot or tethering isn't working

Last updated: April 3, 2026

Personal hotspot lets you share your mobile data with other devices over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB.

Step 1 — Confirm your plan includes hotspot

Hotspot is not included on all plans. Check your plan details in the app.

If the hotspot toggle shows "Contact carrier to enable" or is permanently greyed out, hotspot is not provisioned on your plan or eSIM profile. Raise it through the app.

Step 2 — Enable Personal Hotspot on your device

iPhone: Settings → Personal Hotspot → turn on Allow Others to Join

Android: Settings → Network & internet → Hotspot & tethering → enable Wi-Fi hotspot

Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile Hotspot and Tethering → enable Mobile Hotspot

Step 3 — Confirm your mobile data is working

Hotspot shares your mobile data — if data itself isn't working, hotspot won't work either. See ****My eSIM has no mobile data or is not connecting first.

Step 4 — Restart your device

Step 5 — Reset network settings (last resort)

iPhone: Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings

Android/Samsung: Settings → General management → Reset → Reset network settings

Resetting network settings removes saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
