My eSIM settings are misconfigured
Last updated: April 3, 2026
If your eSIM is installed but not working correctly — calls, texts, or data are routing to the wrong line, or your device isn't using your new plan — your device settings may need adjusting.
Set your new eSIM as the default line
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → confirm your new eSIM is set as the default for Cellular Data, Calls, and Messages. Each setting has its own toggle.
Android / Samsung: Settings → Network & internet → SIM cards (or Connections → SIM card manager) → set the new eSIM as preferred for data, calls, and SMS.
Check APN settings (Android)
If mobile data isn't working after setting the correct SIM, your APN may need to be configured:
Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → your new eSIM → Advanced → Access Point Names
If the APN list is empty or incorrect, contact support for the correct values.
Toggle airplane mode
After making any changes, toggle airplane mode off and on to force the device to reconnect to the network.
