How to find your IMEI
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique number that identifies your device. You may need it when checking device compatibility or contacting support.
Find your IMEI
Device | How to find it |
iPhone | Settings → General → About → IMEI |
Android (most) | Dial *#06# or Settings → About phone → IMEI |
Samsung | Dial *#06# or Settings → About phone → Status information → IMEI |
Any device | Check the original box or the SIM tray inside the device |
Devices with two SIM slots
If your device supports dual SIM, it will have two IMEI numbers — IMEI 1 and IMEI 2. If asked for your IMEI for eSIM purposes, use IMEI 1 (sometimes labeled the primary slot).
Your IMEI is also printed on the original box your device came in, usually as a barcode or QR code.

Check if your device is compatible
Once you have your IMEI, you can check that your device is compatible with the network your Gigs line runs on:
- AT&T: use AT&T's compatibility checker at att.com/checkcompatibility.
- Make sure your device supports the bands the carrier uses (5G n2, n5, n14, n66, n77; LTE B2, B4, B5, B12, B14, B17, B29, B30, B66 for AT&T).
- If your device is not supported, you'll need a different device. Contact us if your device shows as compatible but you can't get service after activation.
