In order to get a new phone number, you will need to cancel your subscription and start a new one. However, there is a chance that you will be assigned the same phone number, since that phone number has been set aside for you by the carrier.
For better chances of getting a new phone number, you should ask your provider (whom you have your subscription through) for a new SIM.
