I can't make emergency calls
Last updated: April 3, 2026
🚨 If you are in an emergency right now, try a different device immediately. Emergency calls (999, 911, 112) can be made from a device with no SIM or inactive plan in most countries — use the emergency call option on your lock screen.
Things to try immediately
- Disable Airplane Mode if it is on
- Restart your device — forces a fresh network registration
- Try a different network manually: Settings → Cellular / Mobile network → Network selection → turn off Automatic → select any available network
- If on Wi-Fi Calling: try calling over Wi-Fi if mobile signal is unavailable
Emergency numbers by country
Country | Emergency number |
United States | 911 |
United Kingdom | 999 or 112 |
Europe (most countries) | 112 |
Australia | 000 |
112 is an international emergency number that works in most countries including when roaming.
After the emergency — report the issue
If emergency calling failed or was unreliable, raise it through the app as soon as you are able to. Include your location at the time, your device make and model, and what happened. This is treated as a high-priority issue.
