Wi-Fi Calling isn't working
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi connection when mobile signal is weak or unavailable.
Step 1 — Check Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on your device
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Wi-Fi Calling → turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone
Android: Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → select your SIM → enable Wi-Fi Calling
Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → enable Wi-Fi Calling
Step 2 — Check your Wi-Fi connection
Wi-Fi Calling requires a stable connection. It will not work on: very slow networks, captive portal networks (hotel/airport Wi-Fi with a login page), or corporate networks that block VoIP traffic.
Step 3 — Restart and toggle Wi-Fi Calling off and back on
If the Wi-Fi Calling toggle is missing
- Your device may not support Wi-Fi Calling
- Wi-Fi Calling may not be provisioned on your plan — raise it through the app
iPhone: Settings → General → About — accept any carrier settings update that is prompted
