I've been charged unexpectedly — what do I do?
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Before raising a dispute, check your billing history in the app — most unexpected charges turn out to be a recognised payment that was easy to overlook.
Common reasons for an unexpected charge
What you see | Likely explanation |
Charge on renewal date | Standard plan renewal — automatic and expected |
Two charges close together | Failed payment retry succeeded after a delay, or add-on purchased in same cycle |
Charge after cancellation | Cancellation processed after the renewal had already triggered, or cancellation not completed correctly |
Different amount than expected | Plan change, add-on, or pricing update |
Check your payment history in the app first. Go to Account or Billing to see a breakdown of all charges, dates, and amounts.
The charge is not in my billing history
It may be a pending authorisation from your bank that will drop off within a few days. If it has fully cleared and is not in the app, raise it through the app.
