How to install your eSIM — Samsung
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Before you begin: device has an EID number (via *#06#), device is carrier-unlocked, QR code or activation code is ready, connected to Wi-Fi, and if two SIMs are active temporarily disable one.
Samsung devices sold in South Korea do not support eSIM regardless of model. There is no workaround.
Option 1 — QR code (recommended when you have a second device)
- Settings → Connections → SIM card manager → Add mobile plan
- Tap Scan carrier QR code
- Point your camera at the QR code on another device
- Tap Confirm and follow the on-screen steps
Option 2 — Manual activation code
- Settings → Connections → SIM card manager → Add mobile plan → Scan carrier QR code
- Tap Enter code instead
- Paste your full activation code including LPA:1$
- Tap Connect and follow the on-screen steps
On older Samsung One UI versions the menu may show Add SIM instead of Add mobile plan. Steps after that are the same.
After installation
Set the eSIM as your primary data line: Settings → Connections → SIM card manager → select your eSIM as the data SIM.
