Can I cancel during the cooling-off period? — United Kingdom
Last updated: April 3, 2026
This right applies to UK customers only. It is governed by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you are based in the UK, you have the right to cancel your plan within 14 calendar days of activation without giving a reason. This is called the cooling-off period.
What you're entitled to
- Cancel for any reason within 14 days — no explanation needed
- Full refund if you have not used the service
- Partial refund if you have used data, made calls, or sent texts — a pro-rata deduction applies for usage to date
- The 14-day period starts from the day your subscription was activated, not the date of purchase
Do not cancel and then repurchase expecting to reset the 14 days. The right applies once per subscription from the original activation date.
How to cancel
Open the app → go to your subscription or plan details → select Cancel Plan. If you cannot find this option or are having difficulty, contact support directly and reference the cooling-off period — agents can process this.
After cancellation
Your service ends immediately on cancellation. Any refund due will be processed within 14 days of your cancellation request. See How do I request a refund? for what to expect.
Full terms
For the complete terms governing your cancellation rights, see the Gigs Region Specific Terms (UK section).
